With over 150 billion app sessions per month, Flurry Analytics (now part of Yahoo!) is the industry-leading power set of tools to analyze big data for mobile apps. Flurry’s platform grew into a fragmented system that was difficult to use. We untangled the existing product and redesigned an intuitive and comprehensive platform that dramatically improved the experience.
Soaked up data like a sponge, sketched multiple directions of a new vision
Tested early assumptions and rapidly iterated designs to create a testable proof-of-concept that supports use cases across a wide range of scenarious, user types, and company sizes.
In 12 sprints, with 120 hours of discovery, and through 176 wireframes we outlined a robust framework that mapped more to user’s real behavior than to internal product groupings. By digging in deep, we streamlined complex tasks that previously were fragmented across multiple parts of the portal.
Flurry’s analytics and advertising platform handled more than 3 times the data volume of Twitter, and powered over half of all iOS apps worldwide. The challenge: how do you make all this data actionable at the right levels across diverse use cases?

The magic to the new Flurry interface came in intelligently extracting key findings from charts and graphs. Clear call outs provide users with immediate, actionable feedback.
